Meet Your Pros
Chris Powers
Chris Powers is an eight-time National Gold Medal Champion and a three-time Silver Medalist. She competes nationwide at the Super Senior Pro level in both Mixed Doubles and Women’s Doubles divisions. Over the years, she has played in nearly 200 tournaments, including Nationals in Indian Wells, California, and the U.S. Open in Naples, Florida. Chris has earned more than 200 medals throughout her career and holds a 5.0 DUPR rating. She currently serves as the Chairperson of The APP Masters Senior Pros and as a Team Captain for The APP Humana Cup League, further showcasing her leadership in the sport. Chris lives in Aiken, South Carolina with her four horses, three dogs, and two pickleball courts. She conducts lessons and camps at her farm called Two Sisters Farm. She loves to teach and her students range from complete beginners to those who play competitively. Chris also runs free pickleball retreats for women diagnosed with any type of cancer through her organization, Women Beyond Cancer.
Kristin Hickman
Kristin Hickman resides in Columbia, SC where she played the #1 position on her college tennis team for 4 years. Kristin began playing pickleball in 2014 in Salt Lake City, UT.
From 2023 through 2025, Kristin was ranked as the #1 female player in Mixed Doubles, Doubles and Singles on the APP Masters Pro Tour at various times. For an extended time, she was #1 in all three events.
She has won multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Senior Pro and Masters Pro events. She is a 10+ Time Pickleball National Champion – Gold Medalist (Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles).
She won 4 Gold Medals at 2025 US Open Pickleball Championships and 3 Gold Medals at 2024 US Open Pickleball Championships. She won a Triple Crown in the Senior Pro Division at the 2024 English Open and a Triple Crown at the 2024 US National Pickleball Championships. She was a Team Captain for the 2024 and 2025 APP Humana Cup Masters Pro League.
Kristin teaches pickleball camps in the US and in the Caribbean.

Sandals Resorts offer only one king bed in all of their rooms. However, we can request a rollaway for your room.
We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance. After you have made your deposit and completed your client tasks on our portal, we send you travel insurance quotes from Allianz, a highly respected agency.
Yes! The resorts we use are luxury resorts that cater to anyone who is looking for fun in the sun. There is so much to do at the resort that you can easily fill your day and night without stepping foot on the pickleball court. Those looking for some relaxing down time will find that here too! The lounge chairs throughout the properties, both on the beach and at the pools, offer plenty of places for some R&R.

A deposit of $400 is required to secure your room for your Pickleball in Paradise vacation.
- In the event that you need to cancel your trip, $200 of the deposit is refundable 95 days before your departure. Or, if you are unable to keep the reservation for your originally booked dates but would like to change to a different trip, the full deposit amount may be transferred to another Pickleball in Paradise trip through Straight Away Travel in the same calendar year.
